Inaugural Gala 

Benefitting Recovery Coach Training
to help individuals with Substance Use Disorder

At On the Marsh Bistro

On Thursday, August 23, 2018, Above Board—All Hands on Deck hosted their inaugural fundraising event, a Gala held at On the Marsh Bistro, to fight Opioid Addiction through Recovery Coach Training. It was a sold-out, tented event overlooking the salt-marsh. The Gala was hosted by WMTW’s David Charns and featured musical enter-tainment by Bread & Circus and D.J. Jon. Food and drink was provided by On the Marsh Bistro. Above Board set a goal to raise $25,000 and graduate 15 Recovery Coaches in our community for 5 consecutive years. In one evening, nearly $55,000 was raised, enabling us to not only reach the Recovery Coach goal, but to also provide a condensed course for the same curriculum for our local First Responders.
